Products Description

ZTE ZXHN F601 onu in fiber optics is a modem and one of the terminal devices for optical fiber access. Since the optical fiber itself cannot be directly connected to terminal equipment such as computers or routers, optical modems are needed for photoelectric conversion to convert the optical signals output by the optical fibers into electrical signals to provide broadband access services within homes or businesses.

Purchasing and Usage Notes

Purchase Consideration: The F601 is typically provided by an Internet Service Provider (ISP). Its compatibility with a specific ISP's network depends on the Serial Number (SN) and sometimes a PLOAM password. Using a self-purchased model may require configuring these credentials with information from your ISP or your old ONT.

Web Interface Notes: It has a web interface for configuration, accessible at http://192.168.1.1. Default login credentials are often admin/admin or user/user.

Bridge vs. Router: By default, it typically operates in Bridge Mode, passing the internet connection to a separate router. It also has a built-in router mode with PPPoE dialing, NAT, and firewall functions. Users report mixed success with its router functions.

Common Issues and Fixes

Users frequently encounter two main issues with this device:

Misleading PON LED: The PON light may turn solid even if authentication (via the correct serial number) fails. Always check the connection status in the web interface ("GPON State") to confirm true authentication success.

No Web Interface Access: If you cannot access 192.168.1.1, ensure your computer is on the same subnet, and try resetting the device using the physical reset button.
