Fiber optic tools mainly include fiber optic cable stripping pliers, fiber optic cable cutting cutters, fiber optic cable strippers, red light pens, fiber optic microscopes, optical power meters, and laser stabilized light sources, each of which has different functions, as follows:
Fiber optic cable stripping pliers: a fiber optic tool used to strip tightly wrapped fibers, generally used to strip the tightly wrapped fibers away during fusion splicing.
Fiber optic cable cutting cutter: a fiber optic tool used to cut aramid fibers in fiber optic cables. Its blade is made of high carbon steel material, sharp and tough, and can easily cut aramid fibers in fiber optic cables. It is generally used in fiber optic cable splicing work and is used in conjunction with fiber optic cable stripping pliers or fiber optic cable strippers.
Fiber optic cable stripper: a fiber optic tool that can longitudinally cut and wrap around the insulation layer of circular cables with a diameter greater than or equal to 25mm. Due to its ability to completely strip various insulation layers (such as cable outer sheaths, cable loose sleeves, etc.), and its adjustable cutting depth, the cutting depth can reach up to 5mm. It is generally used for cutting the insulation layer of communication cables, low-voltage cables (PVC insulation layer), medium voltage cables (PVC insulation layer), or other circular optical cables.
Red light pen: a tool used for fiber optic fault location and fiber optic connection inspection, which detects the on/off and connection status of the fiber optic by emitting red light.
Fiber optic microscope: used to observe the quality and cleanliness of fiber optic end faces, helping to determine the quality of fiber optic connections and whether there is contamination.
Optical power meter: used to measure the optical power in optical fibers to evaluate the transmission performance and loss of optical fiber links.
Laser stabilized light source: Provides stable laser output for calibrating and testing fiber optic communication equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
