To connect the Huawei HG8321R cat to a wireless router, the first step is to perform initial settings on the wireless router, as follows (using TP-LINK as an example for wireless routers):
1. One end of the network cable is connected to the LAN port of the router, and the other end is connected to the network port of the computer.
2. Open the browser and enter 192.168.1.1 (as written on the router box or manual)
Enter router account and password
3. Click Settings Wizard
Internet access method: pppoe
Internet account and password: Enter broadband account and password
Click Next
4. Wireless status: enabled
SSID: Enter wireless device name
Channel: Select 9 (if connected to an Apple mobile device or Mac: Select channel 11 or 13)
PSK password: Enter wireless password
Other defaults are sufficient
